The Influence Of Heaven

Come unto me. That’s what Jesus said about those who carry the heavy weight of life. Come unto me is an open invitation for all of humanity. The divine Author and Creator invites us to come to Him with expectation. The invitation is to bring your cares, your habits, your hang-ups, your failures, your disappointments, and your struggles to Him. He invites you to bring the things that keep you up at night, the issues that weigh heavy on your heart, the past regrets that keep haunting you and the past hurts you have never been able to heal from. Jesus simply invites you to come unto Him!

The book of Revelation describes this invitation as an open door. The King of Kings has set before God’s church an open door, and beyond this door you will find what God has made available to all of those who will trust and follow Him. Beyond this door is what the church, God’s glorious church, should experience and will experience if they walk through this door. What’s beyond this door that God has put before us is not reserved for the hyper-spiritual, a certain brand of religion, or a certain group of people within your local assembly. What’s beyond this door is for the STRONG and the WEAK. It’s for those who have it together, and it’s for those that are struggling. What is beyond this spiritual door that I am referring to today is for anyone who will submit to God’s plan and will walk through His door!

My assignment in this post is to turn your attention to God’s intention!

The Prophet Jeremiah gave a prophetic word that has echoed through the ages. Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

The prophet Jeremiah declared that God has plans for His people. His plans are greater than we could ever imagine! Even though our plans are influenced by the spirit of this world at times, we can break free from earthly influence and gain access to heavenly influence. It is my belief that God wants to supernaturally influence our thoughts, our world, and our mindset. He does this because he wants to show us what we have never seen or experienced before! Paul said it like this in

Ephesians 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

God wants to take us beyond our limits! He wants us to realize that HE is able to do ABOVE ALL we can ASK or THINK. That’s a kingdom principle for God’s glorious church!

God’s intention is to influence your world with Heaven.

The God who can make it happen is all around us just waiting for us to step into His blessings. We have been invited into His glory to experience the supernatural influence of Heaven! This is that place where there are the working miracles, healing of all manner of sickness and disease, and lives are forever changed!

I feel that our church services should be so influenced by heaven that the angels will want to linger because it’s just that incredible! How about our homes? Wouldn’t it be an incredible experience if our homes could be so influenced by Heaven that angels took up residence there because it was just like home for them. Think about it! Our homes can be influenced by Heaven because we have prayed and lived the words, “Thy kingdom come Thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven”.

This world is not my home! I’m just passing through, but while I’m here, my world will be influenced by Heaven!
